Diese DVD wurde auch an die Pinis geschickt, und einige Wochen später kan folgende Review als E-Mail:

"Dear Daniel,

We have just viewed your DVD record of the 2004 Elfquest Convention and LARP game. We are moved beyond words by the creativity and love that brought all these beautiful fans together to express themselves individually and as a big, big family, and by the effort that you put into this DVD.

We wish you could have seen us rolling on the floor with laughter at the tribe's adventure with the Preservers. The fans who played the Preservers did the voices and singing to perfection. That is really what Preservers are like - very annoying! And we loved the clever balloon cocoons with secret messages inside.

The ending of the LARP was very dramatic and brought tears to our eyes. Your game really captured the spirit of Elfquest from tragedy to triumph. We howled and applauded at the end and wished we could give everyone a great big hug for doing such a splendid dance!

The films of the game preparations, the brewing of the Dreamberry Wine (if only we could read all the instructions, we would try it ourselves!), the costume contest and songs - and the general fooling around - were delightful. You showed us the wonderful interactions of many good friends who came together to celebrate something they love.

Thank you so much for the hard and careful work you did to preserve the sights and sounds of a very special happening. We will treasure this DVD always and we hope, someday, when we are in Germany again that we can meet everyone who participated.
Please, if you can find a way to do so, give our thanks to everyone who was there.

Richard and Wendy Pini

PS - Of course, we were totally blown away by the opening "ElfTV" mini-movie, with the two moons and Abode and the Palace shooting into space... WOW!!!!!"

Die Pinis ihre Erlebnisse mit der DVD auch in ihrem Blog am 4. Mai 2005 niedergeschrieben:

"In a different direction, we recently received a two-hour-long DVD of highlights from the fifth annual Elfquest mini-convention arranged by a group of German fans. It seems that every year these folks and several dozen of their friends and co-conspirators rent a castle - yes, a real, live castle - somewhere in the countryside and, for four or five days, live as (mostly) Elfquest elves. There are all sorts of activities, from the singing of songs to the brewing of Dreamberry Wine (from the looks of the list of ingredients - which is in German, which I know less of than I know of French - this could be lethal stuff, but you'd die happy) to the Live Role Playing of an honest-to-High-Ones quest. There's drama and action and special effects... and you just haven't lived until you've seen fans become Preservers. I am not making this up."
